Compared to its predecessor, the LTX M/S, it has evolved in appearance and performance. The LTX M/S2 is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions. Twin steel belts, a part of the tires internal structure, provides the toughness and grit needed to handle hefty loads. Blending a long wearing, silica-enhanced, All-Season compound into a tread profile featuring s MaxTouch Construction, a contact patch is produced. This creates reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. High-density 3-D Active Sipes are featured in stable independent tread blocks with a symmetric tread design. This delivers all-season traction on dry roads as well as in inclement weather. To promote lateral water evacuation as well as to enhance wet traction and stopping performance, the LTX M/S2 features four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots.
